Today I went to the Zoo all by myself. It was divine. Although we went last night for the last summer night at the San Diego Zoo, I can never get enough of that place. So after I dropped off the kid for his first day of third grade, I went to the Zoo to walk and walk and get still. In my stillness, I drew this turtle looking up into the sun. He was enjoying some stillness too and after I completed my illo, he took a few steps and slipped right into the water. If I didn't get quiet and in the moment, I would have never experienced this.How about you? Do you like to go to public places to be alone?
