Giving.
A long time ago I participated in a challenge called 29 Days of Giving. You are to give something away for 29 days and watch it change your life. I did the giving but my life didn't change very much. Maybe I was too intentional, maybe my giving was too forced and not from the right place, maybe I really wasn't that into it, which ever it was I LOVED the idea.
After my 29 days were up, I walked away from the site and would only peak back very occasionally. After a time, I forgot about it. Then, yesterday when I was at the library, the book 29 Gifts by Cami Walker literally jumped off the shelf and into my hands. Cami is the creator of the 29 Days website. I'm going to take it as a sign the universe has some plans for me, so I rented the book and am almost finished with it. Even if you didn't care to participate in the giving, the book is profound and well written. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a good book to read.
I think I feel some give aways coming soon! Check back!!
Quote from the book:
"When you are over giving, you are not living in the abundance, but in scarcity," she (Mbali) told me. "When you give from a place of service, honesty, and fullness, you are left feeling revitalized. When you give from a place of responsibility and obligation, you negate the gift and nothing changes. You may in fact be left feeling resentful and drained." And then she asked me a question: "What lack are you trying to fill in yourself by over giving?"
Wednesday's Gratitude:
I am so grateful for the gift of humble pie.

Glad to read your thoughts on this. I will read this book. Thanks.
hmmm...that's food for thought for me: ..."what lack are you trying o fill in yourself by over giving?"
Intention is everything. Even when that intention is deeply rooted in our subconscious.
"I am so grateful for the gift of humble pie." That's wonderful.
