Holiday for goodness sake.

The tree is up, the nutcrackers are out, lights are twinkling and holiday patterns are dancing in my head...

I had to make myself NOT wrap any presents since it still is November. I might have some serious holiday burn out if I'm not careful... I just can't help myself, it's the holidays for goodness sake!

I bought these holiday cards from one of my favorite illustrators, Amanda Woodward, two years ago. Since I can't bear the thought of sending them off to another home, I've decided to make some holiday art with these cards. For now, I'll just show you this lovely artwork and in a day or two, I'll show you my final collage piece.

After a 10 hour drive from northern California to southern California, I had nothing left in me to post yesterday. However, this morning, I wanted to share some photos that inspired me over the last few days.

Year's end.

It's the end of the year my friends and I can hardly believe how time is flying by. The holidays are almost upon us and I have to say I've started my Christmas shopping. It's going to be easy peasy this year as I've committed to keeping it simple. And by that, I mean creating gifts and purchasing art from other artists.
